We are officially funded!

We are officially funded!!!

I'm so excited to announce we've hit our base funding goal! That means no matter what, from here on out these decks are definitely getting made!

Now, we've still got plenty of stretch goals that will let us add more cards, more features, and exclusives, so we will keep plugging along and getting the word out so we can hit as many of those as possible.

In the meantime, I want to issue a HUGE thank you to everyone who has backed so far! We are humbled at the support our little project has gotten, and we are so excited to get these things made and in your hands so you can start using them in game!!

Thanks again, and keep an eye out for the next updates, hopefully when we hit that 10k stretch goal!

Digital PDF tier
about 2 years ago – Sat, Apr 16, 2022 at 12:42:31 PM

Hello again everyone!

I wanted to quickly post this update in regards to DIGITAL copies.

I've had a few folks comment here and ask about digital only decks.

We had a few reasons for not offering a digital only tier from the start. The main reason is that we wanted to limit the amount of PDF's going out into the world. We've had to deal with art theft in our online store quite often, with our artwork and resources being stolen and resold by bootleggers and knockoff factories. We thought that if someone was buying a physical deck, the risk of them using it for anything other than their home games was pretty low.

The second reason is that this product is ultimately meant to be a physical card deck, so once the Kickstarter is done, it will only be available as such. The digital copies will only be offered during the Kickstarter. We wanted it to be a nice little bonus for those who believed in the project!

Lastly, we simply wanted to make sure that by the end of the Kickstarter, we had raised the funds necessary to get those decks printed and our artists paid.

THAT BEING SAID:
Someone made an excellent point regarding our friends and backers who are outside the US. Unfortunately, ever since COVID hit, international shipping has been a nightmare, with costs rising constantly. At the end of the day, we are a small business, and don't get much by way of shipping discounts, so unfortunately it costs a lot more to ship outside the country than domestically. (In fact, the costs listed have already included the discounts we get.)

Because of this, we've decided to go ahead and add a digital only tier, to help those international folk who may not have been able to back otherwise.

The price for the base deck will still be the same, but there will be no cost of shipping associated with this tier. This allows us to ensure we can still pay our artists and cover all the costs and fees from Kickstarter.

If you are in the US, you'll still have access to back the digital deck, but I highly recommend sticking with that physical deck, as you'll still receive the digital copy as well!

I hope this helps explain everything, and I sincerely hope that this can help some of the international backers who may not have been able to back otherwise.

Thanks everyone, and hope the upcoming weekend is filled with many great adventures!

Introducing our amazing artists!

Hi everyone!
We are off to a great start, and at this rate, I don't doubt we will be able to hit the goal in no time! That's exciting, because that means we have a good chance of hitting some of those stretch goals and making an even bigger, better deck!

Now, this project could not be what it is without our amazing artists, so I wanted to take a moment to introduce them! If youre interested in following their work, their social media tags are listed!

First off, you know me!

I'm Lisa, and my husband and I run level1gamers.com. I'm an illustrator, and I'll be doing the design and pencilling for many of these items! Instagram: @thisislisahall

Next up on inks: Dianne Yingst!

And last but certainly not least:
Vesna Karlovsek!

Vesna Karlovšek (also known as Himiro Art) is a female artist from Slovenia. She attended the University of Economics due to outside pressure, but dropped out to persue her dreams and turned that artistic passion into a freelance job today. She is a self taught artist who loves to explore the world of fantasy, focusing on characters and creatures.

Vesna has been bringing each item to life with her incredible digital painting skills, and has designed a few items as well!

Thanks so much for joining us on this adventure! We are very pleased with how it's going so far, and can't wait to see what we can bring to life.

Don't forget to share the project, the more backers, the better we can make this thing!
